Good preparation avoids unpleasant surprises!
In every season (even summer), the golden rule is to pack layered clothing, having multiple layers available for every eventuality; conditions (weather, temperature) can change rapidly, and only in this way can we best deal with them.
In Summer:
• Hiking boots or shoes with a lug sole (such as Vibram)
• Technical socks that cover the ankles
• Long, technical pants are always recommended, as they offer greater protection.
• Breathable 1st layer: breathable shirt in contact with the skin (such as a t-shirt) made of technical fabric.
• Thermal insulating 2nd layer: fleece (a down jacket is also recommended).
• Protective 3rd layer: rain and windproof jacket.
• Hat and/or multipurpose headband (such as a Buff).
• Sunglasses.
• Lightweight gloves.
• 20-30 liter backpack.
In Winter:
Extra caution is required.
• Waterproof hiking boots or shoes.
• Warm, technical winter socks, preferably long.
• Long, technical winter pants (with good insulation and thermoregulation).
• Breathable 1st layer: thermal shirt in contact with the skin made of technical fabric (e.g., merino wool).
• Thermal insulating 2nd layer: fleece + down jacket or jacket with thermal padding.
• 3rd protective layer: rain and windproof jacket (shell): Clothing to cope with any changes in the weather
• Winter headband or hat
• Sunglasses
• 25-35 liter backpack
• Waterproof and breathable winter gloves
• Multipurpose headband (such as Buff)
We recommend bringing:
• Water supply: at least 1 liter. In summer, 1.5 liters. In winter, a thermos of hot tea is also recommended.
• Food: snacks (snacks, dried fruit, bars) and a packed lunch.
• Sunscreen
• Lip balm
• Handkerchiefs
• Waterproof backpack cover.
• Changing your base layer is recommended.
• Thermal blanket (also called a metallina).
In a backpack, things are placed according to weight and use: heavy items near the back, light items at the bottom, frequently used items at the top, and small items in the external pockets.
We organize activities for everyone! By reading the description of the initiative, you’ll understand if it’s right for you based on various criteria such as distance, elevation gain, route difficulty, and exposure.
There are no age limits! Each initiative will explicitly state whether it is suitable for children (and their age).
Not all hikes are the same, but some are certainly suitable. If you’d like to bring your four-legged friend, please contact us.
Remember that a leash is always mandatory in the mountains.
A famous saying goes: “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!”
Rain can be part of the experience, because we believe the beauty of outdoor activities is appreciating nature in all its forms. If we judged the weather conditions to be unsuitable, we’d be the ones canceling the excursion!
