WHAT WE DO
Hikaya Project
WHO
Hikaya was born from the meeting of three guides: Luca, Stefania, and Vincenzo, residents of the Parco Alto Garda Bresciano.
NAME
The name Hikaya, born from Stefania’s idea, is a play on the English word “hike” and the suffix -aya. In Arabic, it also means “story,” “tale.” We immediately found it a perfect fit for our new project.
LOGO
The logo was developed by an artist and friend, Marco Andreis, a native of Alto Garda, drawing inspiration from the skyline of Monte Tremalzo and 3 colors to represent the 3 souls of the project, inventing a completely new font.
VISION
Hikaya is an idea, a passion for the highlands and the middle lands, it’s about returning to basics, walking, looking around and talking to each other; being amazed and curious.
It’s taking your time without necessarily chasing the wow effect.
It means telling stories with the respect of a traveler who traverses landscapes that are the result of a myriad of interweavings of plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, rocks, human histories, and the earth.
It means doing it in partnership with the territory and its inhabitants, without mystifications, trying to preserve it from abandonment.
Doing it in an authentic, curious and fun way.
This is Hikaya!
