General Characteristics of the Activity

Hiking is an outdoor activity that involves walking along trails of varying degrees of difficulty, requiring physical and mental commitment, as well as adequate preparation and suitable equipment, tailored to the type of route chosen and its duration.

The environment in which the activity takes place naturally presents objective and intrinsic risks. Aware that zero risk does not exist, the Mountain Guide (hereinafter Guide) must manage risk mitigation with targeted measures.

The guide is responsible for managing the activity. The guide reserves the right to modify the route and even cancel the excursion based on his or her assessments (weather, terrain, participants).
Minors must be accompanied by an adult who has custody of them. Dogs are permitted (unless otherwise specified in the excursion description) in compliance with the safety measures required by law, including the requirement to keep them on a leash.
The guide reserves the right to refuse participants who, at their discretion, are deemed unfit and/or inadequately equipped to undertake the activity.

Risk Mitigation Equipment and Personal Equipment

To mitigate the risks inherent in the activity, the use of appropriate technical clothing appropriate for the type of excursion is required, as indicated in (Good to Know). Generally, you should wear hiking boots or shoes, a backpack with water, food, and a change of clothing, hiking clothing (technical materials, no cotton), a waterproof windbreaker, a hat, sunglasses, and anything else indicated by the guide.

Activity Booking

There are two types of activities on this portal: excursions managed directly by Hikaya and excursions managed by partners.
To book activities managed by Hikaya, you can contact us via the channels provided (Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, and email). Bookings must be made by the deadlines indicated for each activity. By booking, Hikaya undertakes to provide the activity to the User according to the terms and conditions set forth in the respective activity description.
To book activities managed by our partners, users can access the website directly via a link and make a reservation on our partner’s portal. Reservations and payments will be handled entirely by the partner.

Participation Fee

The participation fee may include any additional services described in the activity (special lunches, entrance fees, etc.) in addition to the guide’s fee.
Any additional costs not included in the fee can be found on the activity description.

For private vehicles, travel costs (fuel, highway tolls) will be split among the passengers, excluding the vehicle owner.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation by Hikaya, there are no penalties, and in the event of advance payment, the full amount will be refunded.

Participation in the activities may be cancelled within the terms specified in the description.
Some activities require an advance payment (deposit) or the full amount. Cancellations within the specified timeframe will result in a refund as described for each individual activity.

Personal data processing

The personal data collected during registration (name, age, nationality, and telephone number) are processed exclusively for the management of the requested activities. This data will not be disclosed to third parties for profiling or marketing purposes.

Use of images

During the activity, the guide may take photographs or video recordings of participants. This content may be published on our official social media channels exclusively for documentary and promotional purposes related to the event.

This data will be processed only with explicit consent, which may be revoked at any time by writing to us at info@hikaya.it.
